For tomorrow we would be going to Aranda Country Club. It it located at Downtown East, Pasir Ris. The check-in time is at 3pm and check out at 10am next morning.

Please bring around 30 dollars for the chalet. We will be meeting at Pasir Ris at 2:30pm and checking in first. We can go play sports at Pasir Ris Park nearby after check-in. Bring whatever entertainment stuff that you might have, such as cards, mahjong set or movies.

for those who were not online last night, we had a mass convo and we decided to get a bottle of baileys ($50/bottle. each bottle is 1 litre, can be mixed with milk) . for those who want alcohol, what other drinks do you all want? but it's not advisable to mix drinks so i think we should just choose a few kinds that we want.. please give suggestions!

by the way, who (out of the 19 people staying at the hotel) is not going to consume alcohol at all? cus we're gonna split the cost among those who are drinking, so unless you specify otherwise, we'll assume that everyone's gonna drink? tag if you don't want to! :D

we're thinking of changing it to marina mandarin hotel.. premier suite(63-66sqm)! it costs 461 bucks after tax.. and since 19 ppl are going.. it will mean tt everyone will pay approx 25 bucks.. (cheaper than the originally anticipated 30 bucks each)

hello 6n! =) This is regarding the after prom stayover! i've checked the prices of some of the hotels around city hall area.. and here they are! (they are the cheapest rates available and tts assuming we dun get caught for smuggling in too many ppl!)

Swissotel (34sqm) - $339

Pan Pacific (41sqm) - $230

Some of the prices are subjected to GST and service charges though.. not sure whether they are included yet..

hello people!

fac outing will be on 7 november! movie starts at 430 and steamboat starts at 7. i think.

anyway! since you guys didn't seem very interested in the settlers cafe idea, so instead of that. let's meet in school earlier at 1PM then we can play sports! :D like uhm. the badminton enthus can go play badminton, the frisbee enthus can go play frisbee and the rest can just join in or play whatever else! :D please remember to bring the equipment you need! for those who want to have lunch together, let's meet at about 11.45-12 then we can walk to somewhere to eat haha.

if you guys wanna watch the movie, we could stop at around 330 or so then we can go shower. if we are not interested in the movie, we can stop playing later! :D maybe 6pm so that there's time to shower before joining the steamboat dinner.

Details of Mega Event:
Date: 8-8-08 (tmr!)
Time: 10am-12.30pm
Venue: Bishan
What: Connect Singapore 2008 is a national day mega event involving 43000 people. they will be lining in a single file, joining hands and recite the pledge at 12 pm. lol actually it's lame singaporeans doing lame stuff.

Rough time schedule:
9.15-10: our people will brief you and teach you how to fold a simple origami model, which is the heart. All materials and logistics have been settled already.
10-12, we will be engaging 3000 people out of the 43 k participants and teaching them how to fold the units.
if you are interested to in this event, pls meet 9.15 am at Bishan MRT. we will be providing an event t-shirt.

cip hours will be given accordingly..(heard that its quite alot =p).. we will be there as student leaders.. so its a great opportunity too =)and we get to skip the celebrations in the hall! (although i think we will still need to go for morning assembly.. will check again abt this)

a great chance to do CIP together as a class.. ms koh will be so proud of us! lol!.. and we can always go to xq's house together after that since its quite near!

Hi, 6N! This is regarding the coming JTS this Friday.

You've decided to go to NY NY at Citylink, right? So, we need to collect some money for that.

Let's say around 40 ppl are going, and each of us spends 12 bucks, so we need $480, 480 divided by 25 is 19.2.

However, there may not be so many ppl on that day ( like me, I can't go), and since last time for STJ the seniors didn't pay everything, perhaps we should do the same if they exceed our budget.

So can everybody pass up $15 by this week? Then we'll have $375 in total. And there is still around $300 in our class fund if those 5 ppl who haven't passed up pass up this week ( You know who you are), maybe we can take out some from that.

In a nutshell, my point here is PASS UP $15 for JTS BY THIS WEEK (EVERYBODY! No matter you're going or not!)

Hope class outing was fun for you guys yesterday.
I think it was quite noticeable that something was really wrong with me yesterday, and I have to apologize if my mood affected anyone else.

There are some things on my mind that have left me feeling down, and yesterday just happened to be the time when I lost control.

I'm not a typical person, and although I don't show it, there are times when I really need time on my own to cool down and refresh. It happened yesterday all too suddenly, and this time round it was as bad as it has ever been. I'd never expected or intended it to happen.

It's difficult to understand, but I do wish that nobody will hold this against me; I'll probably be fine after a some time alone.
I'll be me again, soon.

Meanwhile, good luck to all for the test on Monday :)

First JTS!!

Hi class! Hope you have enjoyed the previous STJ session, that was really memorable! We are planning to have our first JTS in April to treat our senior class after their block tests. Yay~

How about Saturday night (5Apr)? We have to discuss the budget as a class and decide what we should treat our seniors to~ Currently, we are thinking of having a BBQ dinner in one of our classmates' house.

Also, we have to plan some activities which can engage both classes, and for us to know the seniors better.

Please give your ideas on the blog and we shall discuss about the JTS when school reopens!!!

Japanese Exchange Student (25Mar~31Mar)

Yo 6N!! We are expecting a Japanese exchange student in our class 2 weeks later (1 of the 14 Japanese students coming over) !! He is Inoue Takuya (井上拓也) from the Senior High School of Tsukuba, Japan. He will be staying in my house for the whole week, and I will be picking him up from the airport on Monday night. He will be joining us in class everyday from [Tuesday 25March] to [Monday 31March].

We (with the other hosts) will be bringing the Japanese students to sites like Orchard Road, Chinatown after school everyday. Please feel free to come along!!

Lets have a great time with the Inoue in our class!! Let him feel welcomed in our class! Conversation with him in English is Okay~!♪　（´Д｀）〃

Though Hwa Chong's a new environment as compared to NJ and VJ, it's great to see you guys already starting to blend in with the rest of us =)

Anyway, hope everyone enjoyed the 2nd orientation.
It was a different feel from the days of OG, but 6N rocks anyhow so it was all great fun whoopie!

I'm gonna miss Athena Faculty Dance. Wonder why on earth I never bothered to put in effort to learn it properly before.

Anyway, I think our CT was one of the only few which had everyone dancing (or at least trying) the dance.

My first time blogging here.
I would have preferred if my first post was a little more upbeat, a little less sombre, but I guess its the only thing I can think of and write down now.

Today was perhaps the most emotional day I've had as a member of s6n, and as much as I've tried not to show it, there's an empty void in my heart I cannot describe.

The whole day was filled with growing trepidation, I think all of you can guess why too.
We sang our 2008 batch song as a class at the end of lessons, and it just suddenly dawned on me how lucky I was that there were some wonderful people whom I had as CT mates, and how guilty I felt to have been complaining incessantly about how lousy and screwed up my CT was at the end of orientation.

To our dear Yuen Ying and Li Xin: the best of luck for your appeals. I don't really know when the results will be released or what happens after that, but I can assure you that your presence (or the lack of it) will be felt by all for the few days (hopefully) you no longer reside with s6n.

To Yuen Ying specifically:
Yilina, Collin and I will miss sitting with you during lectures and tutorials.
I really don't know how I'll feel about this until school resumes tomorrow and I don't see you occupying the seat next to me.
I don't really know how I'll feel not having someone (other than Collin) keeping me awake during lessons by drawing on my paper and disturbing me.
I don't really know how I'll feel not having someone in CT I can fully identify with and share my deepest thoughts to.
I only do know, that I'll miss you a lot for a very very long time indeed =(
